Concentration is must for getting success in any area. Whether you are corporate professional, sportsman, businessman, student, you must be focused. Focused mind utilize its energy in greater extent. We can achieve our goals easily. It is a basic nature of our mind to be restless. It distracts from internal and external things easily. To acquire concentration you need to train your mind. It is not difficult. But it needs your desire to do it. Here are certain steps to follow for improving concentration.

First or Last Time:
Take a task with a feeling as you have opportunity to do it first or last time. It will give more focus and you can perform in a better way. Put your all attention to it. Observe it carefully. Think about the task deeply. Think the different ways to complete it. Absorb in it. So Observe, Absorb and Finish.
Exercise:
There are many exercises to improve the concentration. Don't be greedy to adopt many exercises. Just choose one or two. Do it regularly. You can do following exercise :
You can see image of any object in mind and try to see it constantly. Object can be anything like pencil, any fruit, a book etc. It will help to increase your attentive powers.
Meditation :
Meditation is also very helpful to improve your concentration. This techniques is used from time immemorial by our ancestors. It is very practical and relevant forever. So you can do meditation daily. And boost your inner energy and concentration.
Praise yourself :
If you accomplish a task , praise yourself. And give reward yourself. Before starting the work , you can decide reward which you offer yourself after finishing task. It will give you motivation to finish your task as soon as possible with full attention. Hence increase concentration.
Control mind from deviation:
It is very natural that when we want to do some task, other worries come in the way and try to deviate us. But we should not let it happen. It will distract your energy in other directions. Whenever it deviates try to bring it again and again
Write problems:
Don't keep any problems in your mind. If problems are bothering you, take a piece of paper, jot down all the problems, choose the problem which needs attention first. Solve it with full dedication.
Eat daily healthy diet:
Take more and more vegetables and fruits. Drink fruit juice daily. Don't take high fat food because it causes drowsiness.
Sleep well:
Don't compromise with your sleep. Take 6 to 8 hour sleep every day. Don't sleep less and more.
Set Goals:
Set short term and long term goals. Set daily planner and work accordingly. You can set weekly and monthly planner also. These goals will give you direction. Daily goal completion will motivate you to complete further goals.
Systematic Work Plan
It will be easy to concentrate if you make step-by-step plan for your study or any task which you want to do.
Motivate yourself
Tell yourself you are capable of concentrate. It is not difficult for you. Everybody has concentration abilities but degree differs. Do it regularly and frequently. It will boost your belief in your abilities.
Take Breaks
You should take breaks in between, Whenever you feel tired. Don't stress yourself. Breaks in regular intervals will rejuvenate your energy which helps to boost your attention.
Morning time is the best time
If you are student , study in early morning. It is very calm and peaceful. You will enjoy the quietness. You will not get much distraction in early morning hours. So It would be better if you get up early at 4.30 AM.
Use your time and energy properly:
Don't involve yourself in unnecessary work. Don't waste your energy and time in useless matters and talks. You will loose your concentration. It is an asset, utilize it.
